The father of late Nigerian singer Mohbad has appealed to popular content creator and activist VeryDarkMan (VDM) to intervene over an alleged plan to conduct another DNA test involving the singer’s son, Liam, on Saturday night.
In a video shared by WahalaNetworkMedia blog, Mohbad’s father expressed concerns about the proposed exercise, insisting that his family would not accept any arrangement in which the test location was kept from them.
He disclosed that a woman identified as Mrs Agboro had contacted him regarding the planned test, adding that the family wanted transparency and proper communication before any further exercise could take place.
Appealing directly to VDM, he said:
“Please, I want to bring something to the attention of a popular content creator, VeryDarkMan (VDM).
“I was informed that another DNA test involving Liam, the son of late singer Mohbad, is being planned for Saturday night over the weekend. Mrs Agboro was sent to me concerning this matter.
“However, our family does not accept the idea of conducting a DNA test at a location that will not be disclosed to us. We cannot agree to a process when we do not know where it will take place or have the opportunity to be properly informed.
“Please, I am appealing that this matter be looked into before the planned test takes place. We want transparency, and we will not accept anything done without our knowledge of the location.
“May God take control of this situation.”
His appeal comes amid the lingering controversy surrounding the paternity of Liam, with the late singer’s family seeking clarity and transparency over the proposed DNA test.
